POSTCARDS FROM LONDON!

Have you ever thought about could be working in London for one month? Probably not, for this reason we are here to tell you about our amazing experience. Thanks to our school we got the opportunity to do a unique and formative school-work activity in some London chemists’. During our twenty-eight days in this fantastic city we had the chance to see closely how our future job may be one day, becoming chemists and helping the staff for eight hours a day. All the chemist’s workers were very friendly and open to explain us how to do correctly our job and how to behave with the customers. Obviously, at first, it was a bit difficult to communicate with the customers and to manage all the tasks, but thanks to the kindness and the warmth of the staff, our doubts and unsureness disappeared.

This does not mean we only had to work and work,we also had the possibility to visit London and other important and beautiful cities like Oxford, Brighton and Windsor, too. Iconic attractions such London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham palace, even Shakespeare’s house, are London history’s pieces that anyone would want to visit once in this magic city, so our free time was also dedicated to trips to this places.

Our experience allowed us to understand the dynamics of a new world like that of pharmaceutical chemistry, but at the same time, it also gave us the possibility to improve our listening and communication skills, mostly through the conversations with the people we met.

There is nothing else to say unless that this unforgettable experience has been one of the best opportunities we’ve ever had in our life!
