A BIG SCHOOL IN A LITTLE LAND

Situated in the beautiful town of Milazzo, I.T.T.S Majorana is a pinnacle among all the schools of Sicily.

Over the years it has gained the appellative of “early bird” because this special institute likes to start classes on the first days of September, in order to give more days off during school year.

But, this is not the main reason which makes this school so famous. In fact, it is also thanks to the fantastic working plan provided by all the staff members who are always putting the best effort for the love of the institution. ITTS Majorana’s  school crew is proudly made up by over 150 teachers who work side by side with 40 assistants all over the building.

Main numbers and satisfactions come when talking about students, in fact, the “ Majorana” claims around 1500 students who are able to use more than 60 rooms and 20 laboratories.

This popularity is brought by all the courses available starting from the first year.

They are divided into:

• Chemistry
• Electrotechnics
• Mechanics
• Computer science
• Aeronautics

Students will attend common classes in the first two years and then, they will be divided according to the course chosen.

Situated in a little island like Sicily, this school has made a great “ journey” and now it is financed by European funds (which makes many stages possible).

In his interviews, the headmaster S. Vadalà  has declared  that he deeply believes in international relationships because they help students to mature and get ready for a world, outside of the school, which every day asks  for new skills, especially a good knowledge of foreign languages.

School means much more than books and desks, in fact, it means groups of people who learn how to live in this society. A common thing among students is sport. It teaches (them) how to stay together and live a healthy life; that is why the “ Majorana” is also well known for its special athletes who race in national, international and worldwide competitions. They are often supported by our school who gives them great teachers and courts where they can train.

To sum up, this school is absolutely open-minded and always ready to keep up with everything around us.
